THE DOCTORS

Paul H. Goldstein, MD, received the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois and completed his internship and residency in ophthalmologyin Chicago.  He attended Harvard University and took a one year course in ophthalmology prior to his residency.  Dr. Goldstein has received specialized training in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology and laser surgery.  He is the former Chief of Ophthalmology at Sinai-Samaritan Medical Center and also the former Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Childrens Hospital of Milwaukee.


Richard E. Lernor, MD. received the Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He served an internship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and completed his ophthalmology residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He trained in corneal transplant surgery with Dr. Max Fine in San Francisco. Dr. Lernor has also received specialized training in the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma, diabetic eye care and laser surgery. He is the former Chief of Ophthalmology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and St. Michael Hospital.


Michael T. Rissell, MD. received the Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush Medical College and completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Dr. Rissell has received specialized training in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disease and diabetic eye care and laser surgery. Dr. Rissell has received numerous grants and awards for research. He is the former Chief of Ophthalmology at Sinai-Samaritan Medical Center.


Charles B. Yang MD. received the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He then earned a clinical fellowship at Duke University Eye Center where he obtained specialized training in medical, laser, and surgical management of glaucoma. He has been involved in several clinical research studies on new treatments for glaucoma, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Prevent Blindness of Wisconsin. In addition, Dr. Yang has a special interest in the treatment of cataracts, diabetic eye care, and laser surgery.


Rosemarie Brueggeman, M.D. received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois. She completed her Ophthalmology training at Northwestern University of Chicago where she served as chief resident. Dr. Brueggeman has received specialized training in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disease and diabetic eye care and laser surgery. In addition, she has been involved in several clinical research studies on the treatment of glaucoma.


Marc D. Hirsch, M.D., received his Doctor of Medicine from Chicago Medical School. He served an internship at the University of California in Los Angeles and completed his ophthalmology residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. He then earned a fellowship in corneal diseases and refractive surgery at Tuft's University/Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. Dr. Hirsch specializes in corneal transplantation, cataract surgery and laser vision correction. He has been involved in several clinic research studies, and has been an invited lecturer on topics of corneal disease. Dr. Hirsch resides in Mequon with his wife and two children.
